STX 2 puppies need a good home

I had renters whose home was destroyed by hurricane Ike. They had to rush back to deal with the insurance people and now are saying they won't be back. They are living in tempory shelter with barely enough room for themselves and their kids so they cannot take the dogs they adopted from the shelter. I would take them in but I have 5 dogs and just cannot have another. If I can't find homes for them I will have to take them to the shelter and that will kill me.

These 2 dogs are small (both under 15lbs) and very very sweet natured. Both around six months old. Very good with kids and other animals. And they both love to cuddle.

If someone can tell me how to post pictures I will put them in a post.

Thank you

Hiya,
Sorry I can't help personally but what "kind" of babies are they? I'm assuming they're mixed, but male/females?...are they going to stay small or get bigger?...have they been indoor/outdoor or both? Sometimes I come across someone looking or able . My two "girls" are rescue/shelter dogs, as have been all of my families pets. Sorry I'm an idiot as to the picture posting. Keep us in the loop tho!

Always happy to send a picture on a email too! I'll definitely have a flyer at Sadies and a few other places as well.

They are both females, both fixed, both up to date on shots. And each will have six month worth of heartguard and frontline plus (owners left them). One is about 6inches high with a shaggy wiry coat (blonde) with big sad eyes that loves to give kisses and weighs about 10lbs. I really don't have any idea what bread she is. Her name is Annaley but I'm sure she'd be open to changes. She loves everyone! The other girl is twice as tall and looks like a very short hair small collie (white and red, very soft coat) with a tail that's been snubbed like a cocker spaniel. Her name is Lilly and weighs about 15lbs. Shes a little shy at first with new dogs but loves every human she mets. I may not be good at describing but they are both very good looking dogs.

They have both are mostly indoor dogs. They both seem to be full grown.

Again, happy to send any pictures. 🙂

If you have an online photo site with the dogs' pictures on it, you can use the box with the mountain/sun next to the smileys & link to the picture there or just link to it directly.

If the pic is on your computer only, you can't post it. Good luck finding a home. They sound like great dogs.

Thanks for the advice Trade 🙂

I have added a bunch of photos of Lilly and Annaley on my flickr page where I usually try to rent my apartment. So you will see house pictures there as well. I don't know why I didnt think of that. Just scare for these precious angels I guess.

I sent you a pm back mbkibbie. 🙂

Thanks all!

The pics didn't work. Can you just put a link to your Flickr account without using the shortcut I mentioned on the board?

If you click on "open image URL" in Hiya!'s note you'll get to her page with the pictures of the dogs. They are SOOOO adorable! I really hope someone can provide a home for them!

Sorry it took so long to answer I've been upstairs playing and cuddling with them. My dogs are very jealous but they really are sweet.

And thanks Captain Jay! Lots more pictures on the link.

Dear Capt Jay
My wife and I would be happy to give them a good loving home. We already have a pack of dumpster dogs, coconut retrievers and other foundlings so these two would fit right in. Please send me a personal email message and I'll be happy supply some references. Carl

CarlStx, let us know how it works out! We have two crucian mutts and three cats AND we are renters.... if we owned, we would probably adopt every stray we find.

That's what I love about this board. 🙂

I spoke with Carlstx and they can't take both puppies. Lilly is shy/scared around bigger dogs and I would really like to find them a home together. They have very kindly offered to take Annaley. But we would like to wait a little longer to see if anyone would take them both.

Thanks
Chantelle

Awww! This is killing me-- I hope someone sees this and adopts these two precious babies! I'm in a somewhat similar situation--- I live in the Hurricane Ike path and when we returned home found two very cute kittens had blown up at our house. They are TOTALLY wild, though. I don't know if it's because of the trauma they went though during the wind or if they've always been wild. They are SO cute, one calico and the other black with white back legs (like he's wearing white pj's) and big round eyes. I've been putting out food and water but any time I try to edge out the door to get them used to me they take off like a shot. I just tapped the door yesterday and they were gone! Poor things. I hope someone isn't looking for them, although they apparently left them outside during a coming hurricane...:-X

I've been working on socializing Lilly with my big dogs for the last week. She even slept over last night. I think she will now do fine with big dogs, as long as they are friendly. So who wants a couple of adooooorable pups? 🙂

Just wanted to let everyone know that Annaley and Lilly have found a warm and wonderful home with Carlstx and his wife. They are going to have lot of friends to play with and wonderful new owners to love them. I wish I had the space to take in all the great dogs they have made a incredible home for. Maybe one of these days.

Thanks again Carlstx and his wife!

Thanks to everyone for helping.

Great! The little one is a clone of one I had that died not too long ago. Exact same face.
