Hello Virgin Islanders, am looking to relocate to STT in the winter for permanent residence, can anyone refer me to joblistings, daycare facilities ( I read the message already posted about 2 facilities), what areas are decent on the island, what to avoid, crime rates, etc... I have visited the Island twice but didn't venture far from the main area of town. Any help would be appreciated. I am moving with wife and 3 yr old.

Keith: Have you read through all the info on the home page and through the archives? There have been discussions on these recently. My first bit of advice would be to come for a longer visit to see if you really do want to move with a wife and three year old! Stay for at least 10 days, check out the banks, stores, doctors, housing, etc. This is a different place, to be sure, and especially with a little one.

Eastender,

I have looked through alot of the site, there is alot of info here. My wife and I discussed the visit last nite, we are planning a trip for atleast a week to visit. Bringing the 3 yr old with us. They have never been and I wanted to make sure that she will like it. The info I am most interested in from you locals would be what areas to look at for residence that will be good for our situation (with a young son). Thank you for your input.
