Any sailors here? Anyone going to either regatta?

If you check yachtscoring.com you can see all the entries for either event. Lots of local boats representing.
Island Hops will be at the BVI, although given the sizes of the competition I think we are bringing a knife to a gunfight.

If you are interested in participating in the regatta, you can contact the St. Thomas Yacht Club. There are opportunities for volunteering to help as well as to participate in the racing. There are always yachts looking for knowledgeable and able bodied crew. Local knowledge of our waters around STT/STJ/BVI is a big plus for visiting participating yachts needing crew.

I've volunteered for the last 5 years and sailed (raced) 6 years ago. It's a lot of fun!

Awesome, I'll look for you, IH. We know each other and have raced together with an Individual Who Shall Not Be Named. In fact, I still race on IWSNBN's old boat, albiet under new management.
To the rest: I already have a ride and am experienced with both regattas, I was just wondering if there was anyone on THIS BOARD who wanted to talk racing. I'm looking forward to meeting the Hungarians. Last year it seemed like STYC was taken over by Polish boats.

I see it was last two days but today there was a BUNCH of sailboats out by water island. Was that it? Was very cool at Solberg overlook. They were HAULING ass too with the wind today!!!

I was on Signal 1, the Committee Boat.
I raced in 2008 and have been on the race committee since then working with the PRO team.
