Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School - STT
Is anyone familiar with the cost of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School?
Probably best to contact them directly:

I think anyone who lives on St Thomas is "familiar" with them. so I think your question needs to be a little more specific.
From what I can see, one disadvantage of this school is the location. If you don't work in "town" picking up your child/children may be inconvenient.
Another problem that I see with Catholic schools is their supporters are declining. I don't know about Catholic financial support in the VI, but I've read a few articles about the people leaving the Catholic church. If religious schools are to continue with quality education, they need a stable source of long-term support.
I think you need to ask the school a lot of questions before you make your decision.

The poster was specific - she asked about the cost.
I went to Sts. Peter and Paul and got a great education.
When I relocated for school in the states for high-school, I was way ahead of my classmates so much so that I had to take some upper grade level classes to keep from being bored to death. Luckily, it was allowed.
This was a long time ago, but they still have a vibrant catholic community as well as offering great education.
The location may be an issue but then so does the location of All Saints, Anglican School and it you have never had to endure the time it takes to get thru traffic back and forth to Antilles, especially on cruise ship days then you don't know about traffic patterns and our schools.
It is pretty much the same at that time of day as the majority of VI schools are letting out whether they are public or private!
I think ms411 is talking out of her hat since she obviously knows very little about the Catholic School system or Catholics in the islands.
PM me if interested and I can give you someone to contact who can put you in touch with the right person to ask your questions.
nationwide, attendance at catholic and private schools is way down over the past five years. Enrollment at charter school, conversely, is upswing. Since charter schools are not yet a reality in the VI, the regilous and private school enrollment/support remains study on stt. Don't now what the true effect of HOVENSA withdraw will have on the schools on stx. Would NOT be supperised if there were charter school rumblings on STX. Motivated families seeking a lower cost alternative. Trained educators looking to make a positive contributiion the future of the terrotiry.
Like most issues, the VI is about 10 years behind mainstream usa.
i know that the stateside catholic schools are struggling (not the top names but the neighbor hood K-8s). Not the same demographic as years past. Not much support from the community. Too bad the Holy Roman Church can't get it's act together.
Depending upon where you live Antilies isn't a bad drive.
The cost today for parochial schools may not be the cost tomorrow. I don't see many young people supporting/attending the Catholic church in town where the school is located, so I wonder about their ability to survive long term. I'll check with my very active Catholic friend and will report back. The OP needs options in case the Catholic school looks shaky long term, IMO.
All the OP asked was the cost. Old Tart was the only one who answered the question. Why does the question need to be more specific? Why do we need a discussion about any other issues concerning Catholic schools??????? Why am I even concerned about it? It's got to be the menopause.
If one wants to know what a school costs to attend, why doesnt one call the school and ask.
Seems simple enough.
Unlike the other stt schools, Peter and Paul does not list the tuition on thier web page.--despite having a page dedicated to tution.... https://sites.google.com/site/stspeterandpaulcatholicschool/admissions/tuition
This seems to be the root of the question.

And they have a "contact us" link which is why I posted their website information.
Tart, yes contact info is available...I wonder why the op has asked a few times about this school, despite being provided the contact info on several occassions....

I was hoping someone on here had kids enrolled that could give me an idea of the cost & any additional info they might have. I did review the school website before I originally posted. I was seeking non-biased information & that's why I was seeking a parent of a current student instead of a school employee.

Its been my experience that Catholic Schools give discounts to those in need. Not uncommon for them to not list tuition prices.

There is a notice of tuition assistance on the website with the suggestion that you call the school directly (the numbers are given), while the tuition costs generally will also be given to you upon contacting the school directly, I'm not sure I understand your reluctance to go directly to the school for cost information because, as you say, it's not uncommon for tuition fees not to be posted and what may have been applicable to a present student may not be applicable now.
You may not get "the number" until you apply. Most established and well capitalized catholic schools DO post tution and most do give aid and breaks for families in need involved in the church.

A simple 'phone call overrides any assumptions.
All private schools in the VI provide tuition assistance to those in need...if you qualify.
All that I can offer is it is less than All Saints and Antilles. Catholics get better rates. Just a phone call awy I guess.
