Storm Shutter Repair on STX

I have a rolldown shutter that I have not been able to open for over 2 months - I suspect a damaged worm gear. Centerline originally said they would probably be able to repair it before Christmas but several phone calls and an in-person visit to their store later they have still not made it here yet. So, any recommendations (besides Kokomos)?

Why not Kokomos?

I have worked with Kokomos on other projects and may use them for this. The purpose in asking was to find out if there were other companies on STX that do this type of work so that I knew what all my options were. I have also used Centerline before and was satisfied with their quality of work but their failure to respond on this problem is aggravating.

Centerline Corp. called yesterday to schedule an appt. and showed up on time this morning. The two employees were professional and appeared to know what they were doing. I just wanted to point out that they did eventually do what they promised.

I must be blunt: Kokomo's is the WORST home improvement company I've ever dealt with in both the states and USVI. Simply god awful. Incompetent, tardy, and worst of all, dishonest. Not only were they awful for me, they wer awful for several friends of mine. Run. Away. Quickly.

Castle Glass is hands down the best on STX. They are a delight to work with. They're on Hess Road. Call Ray 340-626-0728. Or you can get the main office number from the phone book.

I had a bad experience with Kokomos myself.
Will not be doing business with them in the future.
I had a good experience with Centerline but they just had to build the accordian and I installed it.
Heard good things about Ray at Castle.

We have used Castle Glass on several occasions and we highly recommend them. It's a family run business and do quality professional work. Prices are good and they back up what they sell. Two of our neighbors had sliders installed and were very pleased. Will use them again!
