know this has been talked about but got some info.
suppose to be a press release (who knows when) they have all this stimulus money that we were suppose to get. if it doesnt go out i heard it will be sent back to the states.
who didnt get theirs? i didnt. so watch for press release. i don't know when.

Check with the VI IRB. Almost a year ago we had not received ours. We checked with IRB and found out we owed a VERY small amount on a previous year's taxes. We paid, and promptly received our check.

checked that linda. lady at IRB said and i quote " oh yes i see you have not received yours yet..."
when did you get yours linda. this is silly....owed from 2007. sure could use the 600.00 for xmas or a much needed trip to states.

I just called IRB, and their computers are sort-of-down right now, so no further information was available.
The IRB lady took my #, and will call me back when the system is back up and running, but doesn't know when that will be, and said they have been down since Monday.

I never heard of that until now. I just called the virb and she told me if you didnt get 07's than thats what the check is for. There isnt one for 08. I was told. Who knows?? I would love to get some extra money, since I now have no job .:X

poodle the information you received about the computers is true. we were told that the computers have been coming and going since monday. heard if the money is not given out then it has to go back to the fed. govt. so if i understand it right, the IRB isn't really attempting to give us our stimulus checks so they will just send it back. NOT FAIR!!
guess we should all just keep calling. if you filed 2007 return then you are entitled to that money. lets call obama!!!!

Can someone post the phone number we should use to call irb about this. I really can't remember if I got a stimulus check, so I guess I'll have to trust their record keeping system!

We got ours at least a year ago.
Edited to say we deposited our in our bank account 11/21/08.

Use your imagination, ask yourself, if you were to wait & wait for a stimulus check a long time, how would you get stimulated(now that there is no cash involved).
Funny thing is, i suspect the IRB is doing the same type of stimulating & is the reason why all of us don`t have the check in the first place.
