You're welcome! I question "what could this phenomenon possibly sound like?"
The Supermassive Black Hole located within the Perseus Cluster and a mere 250 million light years from Earth, sounds like "B-flat" - according to NASA's Chandra X-Ray telescope - BUT we humans will never be able to hear it: The sound is 57 octaves below 'middle C' on a piano (one million billion times DEEPER than the human ear can hear). This is the lowest frequency note detected as yet in this universe.

NoOne: Actually, while the answer is different from your answer, you are also correct. Jupiter WAS nearly a star, but couldn't generate enough energy to promote a fusion reaction between Helium and Hydrogen; consequently, it had to settle down and accept the role of largest planet in our solar system. She doesn't mind though, because she has a "solar system" of her own (ALL those MOONS!) and she violently wreaks havoc and chaos to satisfy her lust for power. She evicted a giant planet out of our solar system billions of years ago when she took up residency; ithat now "rogue" giant is headed back home here to our solar system...:D
Having said all that, the answer was not Jupiter. 🙂
BoB: Great answers, but only one is correct: #4 - Yes. The lightening storms on Saturn are at least 10,000 X more powerful than on Earth. Congratulations!
Note: One of our board members would LOVE these storms on Saturn - he's quite a storm chaser indeed! 😀

Yes, Tammy, I am talking about Aussie. The storms on Earth pale in comparison to those events on the other planets in our small solar system; As much as Aussie dislikes (?) Jupiter, he would marvel at the storming Giant Red Spot and Red Spot Jr and their unrelenting forces, Saturn's lightening storms that would span across Earth with ease and winds over 1000mph. If Aussie were to step into space and witness the frenzy of gamma ray bursts, supernovae, smashing galaxies, massive black holes...my goodness, on his return to Earth, he would endlessly "whine.!"

1. My first guess was Jupiter also but since you have ruled that out my next guess is "Brown Dwarf".
2. My first guess was decomposition but this question is directed at Stargazers so my next guess is "Supernova". As Carl Sagan says we are all made of Star Stuff.

My pleasure.
Specific to this particular question, what I'm referring to is not in outer space; "nutrients" imply that the "result" of the event is necessary in order to facilitate the organic process: the event ultimately donates to the process a very important ingredient - without this ingredient, the organic process would not take place with its resulting benefits: Earth means dirt. Another hint: Once again you have the answer...:-)

Excellent reasoning, Tammy; when referring to the "biological" processes involved in supplying nutrients to the soil. The "event" is "physical" in nature and contributes that which is necessary for the biological processes to occur. 🙂
I am hung up on the word "event". Weathering, rain, heat, freezing? Weather is an event. Then there are animals such as earthworms, snails, insects that futher break down dead organic material. Composting? That is physical.
