St. Thomas vs St. Croix

What does "eligible for something" on STX mean? What is your field? Did that mean you might be qualified for a job at Hovensa, the oil refinery? If so, and they have an opening for you, that should weigh heavily on your decision, in my opinion.

I' ve lived on both islands. They are different in some way, alike in a lot. This question has been asked by many before you. I suggest you do a search, change the default date to "all dates", and you will find quite several threads with opinions. What you will find as a common thread is that it is all up to YOU. What appeals to me might not be your cup of tea, so most people will suggest visiting both island before making a decision. Good advice.

If there is something, in particular, that is a concern to you, i.e. nightlife, water sports, your particular job field, etc., then ask specific questions. It's a lot easier to answer than just a generalization of the 2 islands. Just my suggestion, but I'm sure others will jump in with more details and their views.

Come to St. Croix for a few days. Twice the space as St. Thomas with the same population. More relaxed.

One factor to consider, island hopping is more difficult from STX.
