St. Thomas houses for sale?

My parents want to look into buying a duplex or something similar, a house divided into two apartments maybe. That way I have somewhere to live and just pay the minimum on it, and they can rent the other half out hopefully. We are coming on Saturday the 23rd, but no real estate agents have responded to our emails. My mom is a real estate agent herself, so I would think they would know she is for real and not just window-shopping. Anyone know of anything like this for sale on STT? I really don't know what area I want to be in yet since I havent been there, but I think close to town would be better...Also, any reliable agents that will return our calls?

Thanks guys for your help!

Meg

Hello,

From what I know the real estate agents really perfer you to be on island before they really start going to work for you...But I have had good relations with people at ReMax

We will be on-island. We just want to set up appointments before we come down...I have several meetings with my boss and other people involved with my new job while I am down there, so my time is limited. It would be great if you could put us in touch with your ReMax friends...Thanks!

My mom works for Coldwell Banker, I understand there is an office down there as well. That might be our best bet...

I second the referral to marsha maynes. Very helpful. Call her and ask her is she can take some time to show you guys various properties.

I second the Marsha Maynes recommendation. We used her when we moved here and she mailed us tons of info prior to arriving then came and picked us up the second day we arrived and showed us everything on the MLS in our price range. We bought a house in that week and moved here when it closed.

Hey - we just bought a house and we used Juliet Smith from Stryker. She was really great. I also know Marsha Maynes is excellent. Good luck!
