St Croix
I have a chance to relocate to St Croix with my work for 3 years. I have several questions in regards to schooling, as I have a 9 year old and a 14 year old. I was told that private schools are the better option. Could anyone give me a rough estimate of the cost per child at a private school on St. Croix or point me in the direction of where I could find that information?
Also, my 14 year old would complete his senior year of high school while down there during my 3 year tour. Can anyone offer insight as to how it would impact his college applications?
I'm trying to scan through the rest of the forums to find answers to my other questions, but I certainly anticipate asking many more. Thanks in advance for any help!
Wojo, there is a drop down menu at the top of the page.....use the search option for your questions. It will be most helpful!
Annual tuition at Good Hood Hope Country Day School is $12 to $14K per year and well worth it. Every senior at GHCDS goes to college. Your child's college applications will be enhanced. Your kids would love it there.
i second what caribstx said
I'm assuming the 12 to 14K a year is per child? Thanks again for your help!
We still have one now at Country Day and runs about 1500 month for grade 10. Varies on grades. Oh, that's for 10 months, school year.
St. Mary's Catholic School in Christiansted offers a very sound and well rounded education. Small class size and tuition is far less than GHCD. Give them a call.
Grades pre-k-8.
Agree totally with stxisbest....
Outstanding teachers....challenging curriculum....extracurricular opportunities abound in sports,the arts...etc.
Small class sizes...friendly atmosphere...
Well worth the tuition.
Included in the curriculum is SAT prep for all.Very valuable for college bound student.
GOOD LUCK!!
