my shower only lasts for about 10-15 minutes, unfortunately i do not get to take baths either.
but either way, its not bad

For comparison, my showers are 5 minutes, but the water is only running for 1 minute and 40 seconds.

You must have either short hair, or no hair!

Good Afternoon,
My family and I have always wanted to retire to the island of St. Croix. We visite the virgin islands nearly every year while on our family cruise vacation. The move won't come until 2018 so I'm really just trying to get as much info as possible. I have pruchased every relocation book there is to buy. I guess what I would really like to know first and foremost is which end of the island is the best to live on. We are very sociable people and my sons will probably come with us because my husband says they're too spoiled to be without me but we'll see alot can happen between now and then one is 18 and the other is 22 but we'll see:) I'm also not too computer savvy but I'm going to try this site out hopefully I'll be able to follow along. Thanx for all your help in this quest of ours. Can't wait to be an islander!:-)

i like the east end, i do live in town right now and it is too noisy at night and too many lights. it is not too far to town from where i am. some people love the fredericksted area, some the north shore area. if i had my choice i would chose the west end.

Good evening everyone . I am in the process of accepting a promotion job on St. Croix at the airport .Originally from Puerto Rico spent many summers in Saint Maarten dutch side ..Now living in North Dakota. Its short notice and wont be moving with much money or supplies . I am only coming down with 2 checked bags and will try to find a car on the island or some way to get to and from the airport for work . Looking for a studio or one bedroom willing to work with my temporary financial situation. Yeah I know simple right ... but its one of those take it or its gone kinda situation. And I cant spend another -65 degree winter up here. New to posting and the website in general though it came heavily recommended. So on that note any advice is much appreciated thank you

are you sure you dont want to ship your car? i have heard from many that that might be cheaper than trying to buy one on island. it is about 2 grand to ship your own, at least from miami when i shipped mine and that was cheaper than buying one here on island.
just a thought

Thank you for the recomendations. Are there better/worse parts of the island as far as crime is concerned or is it pretty much all around.some people i spoke to said the east and north near buck island are good spots any thoughts ?

i don't really know if one part is better than the other. some people say so but the crime can find you anywhere. i know people who live in nice areas who have been burgled. if you really want to know about the crime, these boards have a ton of opinions and info regarding that.
at least the murder rate is down this year but the muggings in downtown seem to be up.
just be aware.
