I was just wondering if anyone else is unable to get any cell service on Sprint today? In the rain forest, obviously I am used to doing a moon dance, holding one arm in the air, while leaning dangerously over my balcony and singing Ave Maria to get a signal, but I can always get one. Today, I have been unable to complete any calls at all, or receive any. If I try to dial anything, it says service out of range. Anyone else?

Sprint has been up and down for about the last 3 weeks...we get text sometimes 2 and 3 hours later...I hope this means they are upgrading their towers...it's getting OLD....especially watching all the AT&T folks with their little 3g symbols lit up.

Well, I have been used to the sporadic stuff, but this has just been completely down all day... maybe you're right... an upgrade would be wonderful. 🙂

We had Sprint yrs ago when we lived out east on Ridge Rd.........I have pictures of the hubby sitting atop a chair leaning a weird angle in front of a big window attempting to retain signal......we always laugh about it. Thanks for the image........and to know the phone service DE soli performances still exists! (we finally gave up on the lousy service & went cingular/att.......better than sprint, but still moon dance in remote pockets of the island)

per sprint store the tower is down on the west end from sunday and they think it will be operational today.
in theory.

Always keeps us on our toes when someone pulls up an old thread. I was just thinking I hadn't seen Beth on here in a while, and then wow, Betty's back and there's Yearasta, then...I noticed the date. LOL
But, I guess it just goes to show, some things are forever, like lousy cell phone service!

Sounds like Sprint isn't the best choice when considering service there. We're going to be making the move...and have Sprint/Nextel. Guess we'll have to make a change. Too bad, I've been with them for 6 years and haven't had any issues.

Do NOT make any assumptions about what you might read on line. This is an old thread and could be misleading. Actually I have been happy with my att service everywhere on stx stt sj. If you are serious about moving it is time for you to get some phone numbers and start talking to real people. Do not assume anything about life here.

Whoops! yeah, that was me, I bumped it back up cause of the sprint tower issues.
I have both ATT and Sprint; one works great for work mid island, the other one works at home.
~shrugs~ depends where you are. 🙂
