VI Waste Mismanagement strikes, again!
This entity needs to be disbanded and stop making it even more difficult for people to get rid of their trash.
Just when we are faced with so many price increases (19% LEAC increase which shall affect the costs of EVERYTHING), they now want to add additional costs to the already financially overburdened taxpaying residents.
Just exactly what are we getting in return for our tax dollars? NOTHING!

While I realize something needs to be done with regard to trash disposal, I don't think that having to drive your garbage all over the island for a scenic tour is the way to go. We already do that now with the greatly reduced amount of bins available.

Why WMA has not just implemented bins specifically for the disposal of furniture, appliances, green and recyclable waste at the present sites is beyond me. Why they have not implemented recycling over the course of the years when so many have offered help to set up these projects, is also beyond my understanding. It's too bad the OIG is being phased out as it would be interesting to see what a forensic audit of the particular government department would yield.

The tourists and vacationing guests that I deal with all have a couple of common questions:
"What's with all the trash on the roadsides?"
Their 2nd question is "What's with all the chickens and roosters running, free, all over?"

Unless the VI Government can clean up our islands from the eyesore they have become and provide a safe environment for tourists and locals, alike, tourists can find many other places that provide this and we shall continue to decline as the ideal vacation destination.
