Just saw/ read an interesting article on a solar/ natural gas plant in Florida. I'd post the link, but I'm a little techno challenged. Go to thinkaboutit.org and click on the power tab on the top of the page. Yeah, I know, it's and industry PR page, but it is something that really happened. Forward it on to WAPA 🙂

Think FL pays 9 cents a KWH for electricity.
Wouldn't that be nice but we have Hugo Hodge in control of WAPA.
If and when we ever see costs close to what FL and the rest of the US pays, it'll really be a reason to celebrate as our quality of life will improve tremendously.

As soon as WAPA can buy cheap power off of a grid like they have available to them in Fla. we will be having prices comparable.

Now where did I put that extension cord to Miami??

They already were bandying the idea of an underwater cable to connect us to PR which would cost considerably more than creating a state of the art power plant that is actually works, would be on the islands, not enslave us to PR's electrical grid and costs (tho considerably less than ours) as well as save us $$ in the long run.

If ya got a lot of time on your hands, go to edinenergy.org and read the report put together there. It is kinda a road map for future power.
