I am new on St. Thomas and am looking to meet people. I am 22 and was wondering where are some good places to go to meet people my age. Also does anyone know of baskeball courts where people play pickup ball?

Near Lionel Roberts Stadium there is a basketball court.

Bars are a great place to meet people your age, even if you don't drink. Look around and find a beach bar with young bartenders. Sit at the bar and start a conversation. You'll be welcome even if you're drinking coke. The staff at Eat at Cane Bay on STX play beach volleyball on Monday (check the day) each week. They are always glad to have others join. I'm sure there are such places on STT.

B-ball. Hum...try Sugar Bay around 7:30pm on week night, I haven't been in a while, but there were a group of regulars.... Bring your A-game.

There is a very active sport club that organizes kick ball, volley ball etc. I will get you the name and number. Great way to meet young professionals.

Both the Daily News daily newspaper and the affiliated free weekly advertising newspaper "Island Trader" (which comes out in hard copy every Thursday and is available at most stores), carry information about all sorts of community activities, including sports. You shouldn't have a problem finding something which suits.

The island trader I find so much to do on stx....makes me wanna go visit for a werkend! This weekend they had a mango festival- oh that sounds so yummy
