Hey, Im just trying to get a glimpse on the size of the island. How long does it take (with little traffic) to get from on side to the other.

Which island would that be? St Thomas, St Croix, St John or Water Island?

With no traffic, driving from the far West End (Bible College) to the East End (Red Hook) would probably take about 40-45 minutes.

So with traffic it could take over an hour. Because I have a job offer near Red Hook and was attracted to live on the West Side when I went to visit.

You would be traveling against traffic for the most part...

Still, if Mark were to live in Fortuna, he should allow a one-hour commute to work on the East End.

If you want to shorten the commute while keeping the non-commercial, neighborhood feel, you might want to consider the Hull Bay area, or maybe even farther East, like Mandahl.

Good luck.

Yes...Traffic congestion has come to paradise. Wasn't it nice when we worried if a mongoose would run in front of our car. There are still places in the Virgin Islands where you can drive without stop and go congestion and stoplights. But Ca on STT and Sunny Isle on STX are not not not. Too bad
