how did you know i was a moonlighter. no, the reason i don't want to post about it is because i found out the situation happened to a friend of a friend and don't want to put details on here yet. i want to respect their privacy. when it hits the news is good enough. i am sure it will be on the news tonight.

It happened to me. Armed robbery last night at my house. Three perps. Two killed in my driveway. One made it to 5 corners and was arrested. One officer wounded, shot twice. They say he will be ok.

My wife and I are ok. While the bad guys were holding guns to my head my wife was in the bedroom, heard the noise and called 911.

Roto, I'm relieved to hear that you are both all right.

The police were great. They showed up quickly and got the bad guys as soon as they left our house. There was a real gunfight outside on the driveway. My wife and I were tied up but managed to get free. I guess my joke on the other forum about getting a STX Flak Jacket was close to home after all.

Rotor, I am a neighbor and considering the terrain and location, the Police pulled off a miracle to respond so quickly! Hat's off to them. I am so happy ya'll are safe. What a happening!

I talked to some to the detectives on my walk and those guys are Great! Cool and collected.

so glad that you are ok physically. i was amazed at how fast the police showed up for you two.

The police responded so quickly that they arrived and set up while the perps still had us in the house. The perps messed with us for almost 2 hours before leaving. The police got them as soon as they left. The police waited until we were not in the line of fire. They did a great job.

i am so glad you and your wife are ok. what a horrific experience.i have a question. if you feel you are unable to answer or my question is out of line, i deeply apologize. you stated "they messed with us for a couple of hours" leads me to believe it was more than just a hit and run robbery and that must have been horrible beyond belief. what did you mean by that? again,so happy to hear you are both well and extremely pleased to hear of the quick police response. take very good care of yourself and wifeyou have both been through alot.

So sorry but I'm glad that you and your wife are OK - sort of. I've gone through that and forewarn you that it's a scarring experience that lasts a very long time and doesn't hit you right away. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I cannot begin to imagine how terrifying an ordeal that must have been.
Hang in there and know we are all very happy to know you and your wife have survived such an encounter.

It is a terrifying story to read - I wish you both the very best in overcoming this terrible experience and staying strong together while you try to put it behind you - please know you have the support and prayers of the community here and on island.

A horrible thing to happen to you and your wife, I'm just glad that the end was not more tragic (though I imagine it is a tragic end for some of the families of the perpetrators). Hope you get lots of support in getting past this experience.
