3 people were hurt. Happened at the Frontline Bar around closing.

Poor Fredriksted! This bar is nowhere near F'sted. It is on the west side of the island . It's in Calquohoun, which is west of Kingshill and east of Plaza - sorta.

phil was shot two times and is in critical condition last this sis heard.

I received a message from a friend with an update on Phil as of this am (Tues):

"As of this morning, Phil is still in critical condition in the ICU department. They are currently giving him a 50% chance of survival at this time. He has internal damage to his spleen, liver, pancreas, & small intestine. They have him heavily sedated. Please continue to send up your prayers, Phil is a bredren who can definitely feel the energy.

Also..if any one is interested in sending any donations, you can do so through his paypal account...dappband@yahoo.com. Any & all help would be greatly appreciated.

I will continue to send updates and time & abillity permits.

I don't think anyone passed away as a result of this brazen act. Somehow! How fortunate we all are. this time....

So sorry to hear that the VI almost lost a local talent in this senseless act of violence. Was it truly random? In Miami there was one band that had their parties bombed (with gas canisters) etc several times. It was no coincidence. Also a Caribbean music promoter was shot in South Beach, also no coincidence. Sadly, despite the fact that many people knew who did it, the shooter was never charged. I hope that is not the case here, and somebody is prepared to talk.

i heard it was someone who was upset with someone in the bar at the time and just came in blasting. someone my bf knows told him about this , the person who told him is friends with one of the victims

Thanks speee1dy. That means somebody does know who did it, even if they maybe got the wrong victim. I hope they get caught.

What kind of a place is Frontline? Close to the water? Like Styxx? Just curious as to the type of people who hang out there!

"Phil remains heavily sedated in critical condition. They have him on a breathing machine, and the central issue right now seems to be his lungs. Although they were not impacted by the bullets, there has been lots of mucous and fluids building up in and around that area, which is a big source of concern. He has been visited by a few that they will allow in to see him, and remains in the thoughts and prayers of many.

The incident did not happen inside the club, but rather outside, and Phil was not the intended victim.

Phil did not have any health insurance, so any contributions that can be made through his paypal account (dappband@yahoo.com), will go a long way towards shifting the energy on a financial level...."

Mosquito - are you on island? Frontline is near Cruzan Gardens on midland road. Kind of a roadside Chicken shack thing. Middle island. not on the water. Local folks hang there mostly, just having a good time with each other.

the latest on idren phil merchant....

Phil is showing slight improvement. His lungs are getting better as they were actually punctured as well...to what degree I don't know. I do know that things are looking promising and he is still fighting strong. He has been fighting a fever as well, most likely due to infection. Just continue to keep him in your thoughts and send some positive vibes to him. He still has alot of work that needs to be done.
