Ships are in
I can tell the ships are in the web cams are full of touristy looking types with cameras and shopping bags.
Did I ever look like that?
Of course, we all did! I remember my first night in St. Thomas wearing a totally inappropriate and ill fitting sarong drinking things out of coconut shells. Gawd, what a tourist I looked like.

Who is the guy with the wheelchair that occasionally pushes it back and forth and then sits on rum runners wall??
If you're talking about Keith, that's him. Nice guy. Bums smokes (and probably more) from me and the unsuspecting. I handed out lots of maps today and greeted even more tourists. Two boats, no waiting! Hope it helps fill the coffers...
I want to come to St. Thomas and wear a sarong and drink something out of a coconut shell. I don't even care if I look like a tourist. No one on STX has even offered me a drink out of a coconut shell. I want to get out of my shorts and tee shirts and be a tourist, quit working on this house and wear a sarong. I won't even mind the cabbies yelling, "back to the ship".
Come on over! I'll cut a couple of coconuts open for you and make you drinks on the beach, dear! It is still a fond memory.
That back to the ship thing gets very, very old. Fortunately, I manage to stay out of town on the heavy cruise ship days.

I'm ready Pamela. Maybe I will go over to STT for Thanksgiving. We need a break. Maybe we can stay at Ronnies. Where should we have Thanksgiving dinner?
I would say on the boat but the owner is coming down for T-giving otherwise we could cook it aboard. As you may know, my husband is very ill so we are not cooking this year.
Let me think about the dinner thing ...... I'll see what is going on. Maybe we can find a nice potluck going on.
Maybe we could do a VINOW get together somewhere on a beach and do our own thing. I remember one at Vessup years ago and it was such fun.
Email me at yachtsbypamela@yahoo.com and let's see what we can cobble together. I would love to meet you guys!

Pamela, no I did not know your husband was ill. So sorry. Please don't worry about us. I was thinking of a restaurant. I would love to meet you as well.
Thanks Novanut. My granddaughter told me it was Keith. So sorry to hear your husband is ill Pamela

Thank you ladies. My husband is another thread entirely. He's been ill for several years. I tease him that he is well past his expiration date. We work with it but it does, naturally, impact our social interaction. Thanks for the good thoughts.
Dougtami, I will ask around - how about Toad and Tart? I hear Anna is doing a feast this year. It's not outside but it is a local favorite and she'll let me bring you coconut shells:-)

You mention these webcams a lot but I have never seen the URL's or anything. Can you provide them please?
