Shipping Questions
Hello Everyone-
First, I have visited this board for years, waiting for the stars to align for my time to relocate, and that day has finally come... job and all!
That being said, now comes the hard part..MOVING. I live in Brooklyn, NY, in a massively West Indian neighborhood that is full of shipping services with both air and ocean options, and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of resources with things to think about or important things to consider when beginning the shipping process. I thought I would be able to figure this stuff out, but there are so many options and dynamics...like do I work with a company that is based in STT (where I'm relocating) or BK? Is there a shipping megathread I have missed in this forum?
Thank You
Matthew
Door to door service is best.
That come, they pack it all up, they take it away, put in on ship, offload it when it arrives, and clear it and deliver and unpack it and haul away boxes.
I'm with Alana on this one. The full service is worth the extra money. Think about what you may need here, and what you can live without. Leather doesn't fare well, I keep my sneakers on my deck so they don't mold. And I don't even wear them here, only when I go back stateside. Good luck and welcome.
