We booked with Crowley because they allow you to put your vehicle in the container. We thought GREAT. Not so much I want to warn everyone. They told us we would have a week on island to load up the container and a week in USA to unload it. Well we are here and we get a call "you have 4 hours free then it is $75 each after to get your container unloaded.... Imagine our suprise. How can we possibly unload a Jeep and a 2 bedroom house w/ a 55 year old disabled man and a 53 year old woman in a new town where we do not know any one? Secondly: It has been released from customs for 2 weeks and we called daily and Crowley still said it was on customs hold. My husband finally drove in our rental we have paid for for 1 month to Jacksonville and spoke to USCBP and they told us about the storage charges. We told them about calling and showed them all of the emails to Crowley asking about the custons hold and they became quite upset and said Crowley would be paying the storage that should have never been done to us. So take my advise ship Tropical as we did coming to STX they are professional. In trying to get some customer service and get my goods paid in advance Oneales refused to even return my calls.

We used Sea Star and had a great experience. 10 days with container in the states to load. Car inside -- all went well.

One year ago from Texas to STT - 40' container with car inside on Sea Star was about $6300.00. I would think it would be comparable both directions.

We are very happy to be re-located back in the states and very satisfied with the company we used to ship about a ton (including the crate built to transport) of our household furnishings. Brandon Transfer (40 Castle Coakley -STX) took it to the port as part of a container on 4/10. We received our shipment in Ohio on 5/17. (tu)

Jumbie - Now in NE Ohio.

Used Crowley for our car to be brought to island. What a joke everyday they had a new excuse why are car wasn't ready for pick up. Each day it was another check to them costing a lot more then quoted. And to top it off they stole our car key. Nissans have the key less ignition and in the key chain wand is a secret compartment for a backup key. They stole that key - swearing they didn't. Once we explained the key can only open the door and not start the car because again its a key less ignition the key suddenly appeared - 30 minutes after they realized they couldn't do anything 'exciting' with the key
