Senior Citizen Card?
Where do you get it, where do you use it, is it worth the hassle?
Thanks for your input.

You get it at the Human Services department in the old Knud Hansen Hospital in Hospital Ground, by the Lionel Roberts Stadium and opposite the Moravian and old Danish cemeteries. You need to take ID proving age, identity, residency and it's a quick process (no hassle at all) after which you're presented with a nice laminated Senior Citizen card bearing your photo which is good for five years. And yes it's worth it. Many stores and supermarkets give senior discounts as do the ferry operators, VITRAN buses - they'll give you a list. Plus reduced prices cinema tickets and (the biggest) 50% of your annual auto registration fee.
Forgot that you also get a nice price reduction on your tanks of propane cooking gas. You just let the company you use know (just once) when you place your order and they'll ask you for the number on your card.
2nd edit. Sorry, you didn't specify which island and I wrongfully assumed STT. Anyway, the basics are still applicable.

Use the "Contact Us" Link to call them if you have any questions.
(Phone numbers for Stt, Stx, Stj Human Services' offices with their respective addresses)
And don't forget...the St. John Ferry is $3.00 round trip with the card.
Thanks for the link, but, at the link it doesn't mention any thing about the age requirement. Do any of you know the age requirement? You would think that would be right there with the information...Oh, I forgot, government....I guess that would be too simple.
