SEA meeting tonite

Nice turnout At the SEA meeting, Congresswoman,Donna Christiansen, Sen. Fonsie Donestorg (STT), Sen. Sanes, a delegate from Sen. O'Rielly, a filmmaker who is teaming with SEA to make educational videos about our marine resources, A short film about reef and marine preservation filmed in HI was shown, it was funny because I saw it on the plane on the way to HI.

The big issue is the BAD deal we are getting with the pet coke power plants described as waste to energy. Pet coke is bad shit and the by products of it's combustion are extremely toxic. The negotiated price for Power from the plant is outragous and with environmental and health concerns the total cost is unknown. Sen Donestorg and SEA will be looking out for us and Sen. Sanes said he too would oppose it and SEA will be all over it.

There is better technology to deal with our waste.

Everyone who lives or visits here should get informed about this issue and use whatever influence you have to see that the project we wind up with includes the best available technology and fuel. Perhaps you could join or support SEA or make a donation, they will do their best for you and our islands.
