I have read all the posts regarding scooters and motorcycles on the islands. I would like to know exactly where I would be able to purchase one (new) in STX; I am moving there permanently in August. I am looking in the range of a 100cc gas scooter.
A previous post mentioned ones for sale at Cost-U-Less for $999, but this is in STT. Please let me know where I could purchase one on STX.
Also, the link to the company that ships scooters to the VI on a previous thread is now defunct. Is there any companies that will ship to the VI? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

You need AT LEAST 200cc for stx. Even though we are not as hilly as stt we do have hills and 100cc will get you pushing your bike up hill. Seriously I'm not joking about this. You will need a bike that can get you out of situations here not put you in them.

i completely agree with Betty.
It sounds like you have been to STX before, but how much driving have you done.
There are a lot of places that are quite hilly with sharp blind curves. You may be overtaken at a speed that someone maynot be able to keep from hitting you.
