I know, I know. It's utter suicide to ride a scooter on the island...so I read...but just in case I'm crazy enough, does anyone know anyone on the island that can work on scooters? Basically I'm looking to have one shipped from Florida...then put together on the island.

Thanks!

B

Yikes. Well how long do you have to live on the island until you're not a tourist anymore? hahaha.

I rode one on the streets of san francisco for three years. I think I can handle my own. = )

SF will appear to be like riding in Heaven when you compare it to here....left side of the road, no sidewalks or shoulders, sharp curves, steeep hills, slippery when wet, tourists "oohing" and "ahhing" and taking pictures and blocking traffic...same for taxis...it's a completely different 'ride' here than the US....I've owned motorcycles for the last 32 years...and my 'style' of driving here for the last ten years on a bike is different than in the States....don't get me wrong here, I love riding here...but it's just 'different' than anywhere else in the US that I have driven...It takes some getting used to...which, obviously, the tourists renting scooters never get a chance to do...then they crash...
