Satellite Radio?

Do you guys have decent satellite radio service down there? I’ve been considering a move to STT for a while now and am about to invest in a Sirus satellite radio for the Jeep I would take with me. It wouldn’t make much sense if there isn’t service in the islands.

I would assume there is, but I guess it depends on the location of the satellites and the terrain. I haven’t contacted the manufacturer in an attempt to avoid automated 800 numbers. Thanks for the help.

Was just about to post a similar message.

I have in my car and I also have a XM boom box radio. Does anyone know if they will work in STT?

Judging by the lack of response, I don't think we're in good shape. The web site for Sirius says that they are only licensed to sell their product in the continental US. That of course doesn't mean it won't work nearby. Who knows.

I guess I'll keep looking.

I called Radio Shack on St. Thomas and asked just to be sure - I was told no satellite radio service here at this time.

You might want to call sirius/xm directly to find out. Tell them you will be in the US Territories in the Virgin Islands. That was a problem way back when with satellite TV like Dishnetwork but they eventually boosted their signals. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
