He's been on the air over a decade and though I'm not a major fan, that's a long time for any radio host to be on the air.

I listen to him pretty much every morning ... of course, my car can't get FM stations 🙂

I too listened to him each morning. He was our daily cerebral fix, our wise and well-informed conversationalist, our necessary link to worldly events... And although the persons filling in this time slot are nice, well, Sam was in a class of his own, and he'll be near impossible to replace. If he's gone. Which I hope isn't the case.
