Safe places to live on St. Croix

I very much enjoy sharing with friends life stories and tales of living on two continents and wandering on three but never once even thought of entering a oneupmanship contest based on those many different experiences. I'm afraid your gauntlet will remain on the ground this time around both for the reason stated and because this is not only not the relevant forum for such pleasantries but also not the thread.

We moved here 10 years ago. I had huge rose colored glasses on. So funny to think about it now. I just did a search on my first posts about making a difference. Ten years ago I was so excited. I was so rosy colored with my huge glasses that I had no clue that I was hated more than OT. Imagine that. Stupid me had no clue until someone, not a resident but a visitor to STT actually met OT and posted that he had met the most hated and most maligned person on the message board and it was not dougtamjj. He posted because he actually met her and thought she was the most wonderful person ever. Hurt my tender feelings a bit because I was the most hated person on the message board.

Miss OT hurt my tender feelings sometimes but not nearly as much as others. They were brutal. OT, at least was real and honest. My opinion of course. I am a bit feisty and fight back. I was quite the little shit 10 years ago.

Now I don't care much. No new comers want my advice. No new comers want to hear anything contrary to what they want to hear about this beautiful island. Some do well and some don't. I don't care anymore. OT still cares and still offers advice. Good on her.
