Roku
Anyone have info on Roku setup.
Yes, a Roku 3, works well and satisfies all my TV requirements. I have the $49 BBVI service. More content than Apple TV.
I've got the Roku 3, I subscribe to Hulu Plus, Netflix and Amazon as well as about 60 Youtube Channels, it satisfies the tv need. You can replace satellite with this.

Are you getting HD, non-buffering with the BBVI 2.0 package?
no buffering with bbvi, they are excellent, i also get hd.
the only reason we have not made the switch is because i could not find where hubby can watch sports the day they air on tv
Sports on major networks and ESPN on ustvnow.com, $19/mo,
can we get that here?
can we get that here?
Bombi say yes.
Go to ustvnow.com, sign up for the free plan, then go to ustvnow.com/ roku and get a code. It 's relatively simple, there is al$o a DVD option. I have netflix and ustvnow plus a bunch of free channels , PBS live from PA. I can get ustvnow on my iPhone to .
hubby's big concern is live football, golf and wrestling. you need a roku first, right?
You do not need a Roku for USTVNOW.com it will work just fine on your computer.
In fact, I think that the free plan will ONLY play on a computer. It takes a pay plan for the Roku. They changed it a while back. The free plan includes the networks.
Hey i use a website that i can watch.any sports event live! Just plug the computer to the tv via hdmi i can explain if anyone is interested its easy once you get used to it and i have used it for over 2 years with no issue to my computer
please explain.
rotor, thanks. if you switch the screen to your tv, will it be as big as your tv?
on roku the picture comes in just like it would come in from a dish box or cable box. there isn't switching, its just tv delivered through the internet without buffering, etc.
longhorn, right now we do not have roku ( so tv now would have to be used via the computer and switch box like we do for netflxi ) but after reading, i was under the impression tvnow is NOT for us because we are the us? so confusion there
Is this what you all are talking about?

I have a free account on USTVNOW. I signed up using my USVI address about 3 years ago.
They have gone through a few changes over the years. A free account only includes Low resolution video. Better than nothing.
Try it out. It is free.

I didn't miss a second of the soccer game when Dish lost signal a little while ago.
I was running it on my desktop through USTVNOW at the same time ( I have two monitors hooked up on the PC).
thanks rotor
Is there any way to watch any NFL game that you want live on your TV other than Direct TV's NFL package?
