I am sure those in proper buildings weathered the storm well... but I wonder about the ones open to the elements and only a roof such as along North Shore and Frederiksted. Anybody who has any reports on damage and/or when they will be back up and open please post. Thanks!

I went downtown today a d they were open just serving drinks. Golden rail was open for breakfast

I just heard Duggan's had some damage to the sliders and deck but that they should be able to open when power comes back on.Haven't seen it myself though.

Off the Wall was open Friday and Saturday during the day serving drinks and cold sandwiches. They are closing at dark because they don't have power and are using a generator only for the refrigeration.

Believe it or not, power is being restored on the east end. WAPA has been planting new poles and I know at least part of Cotton Valley is up and running.

Thank you STXResident, for the update! Keep us posted - we're stateside and our villa is in the Teague Bay area - would love to know when power is restored! Thanks to everyone for posting and keeping all of us statesiders informed!

I am in Hermon Hill and had power on Thursday night. Went out Friday morning and just came on today at 2.

mid-island,Elizabeths H2O, Palms/Pelican cove doing great,no phone yet but power on since Fri afternoon.

Duggan's will try to open on Wednesday if power is on.

Duggans lost his sliding glass doors, compressors for one of his coolers blew off the roof, broken window and a lot of his college penants blew away. Wish Frank would have called when he cleaned out his coolers. I wouldn't minded getting some of the lobsters and steaks he through away.
All and all I think Frank is more upset about the Red Sox losing.
WAPA has reset a number of the downed poles and are rehanging the power cables. With a little luck Duggans could be open this coming weekend. I think they only need to replace 5 -6 more poles.

I live at the Reef and I wonder if power will ever come on. WAPA is definitely around, just waiting for it to kick in.

My wife and I will be staying at the Reef January through April next year. How did the property fare (other than the electricity)?

Bernie, the condos held up great! Mostly trees uprooted, leaves everywhere, slight erosion on the driveway on the back of the driving range but nothing I can see from a drive through the property.
The massive tree next to the Reef office, however, was completely uprooted. You may notice something seems different when pulling through the gate. . .

Snapper's estimate of power being off on the North Shore for a month or more was, thankfully, way off the mark. Off the Wall was up and running last Wednesday night, exactly one week without power -- certainly bad enough!!
I got my power back at 10:30 Friday morning.

and yet west scenic above cane bay...........still have no power as well as parts of Judith fancy and our new home in fredrichstad...........east end at turner hole is still out as well as grape tree and hay penny............very disappointed with the WAPA response this time.........we had power after Marilyn in 5 days.........very hope full the island will be back to 100 per-cent next week.....lets all hope for the best

dont think so was just down at off the wall for lunch........seems there are still a few problems to be worked out with full moon

Looks like Full Moon has problems that can't be worked out. Another one bites the dust! What is it with that place? Great location, nice enough facilities -- but no one seems to be able to make a go of it. I've been here 5 years and the place has been under 4 different owners/managements.
