resort property manager Vs. independant property manager
Hello Folks,
I wanted to see if anyone has ideas about which Property management to go with on STT. I plan on buying a Condo on the east end of the Island. Has anyone had issues with resort property managers? I just want to make sure a resort management co. has my best interest in mind. As in advertise my unit as mush as resort owned, etc...

I don't know about STT but on STX I think most if not all condo complexes are not "condo resorts" where there is onsite resort management that manages all aspects of vacation rentals for you (and all other units that wish to participate) including reservations, payment, housekeeping, etc. Is that what you are asking about? Condo property management is typically only managing the common areas and you are on your own for managing your own vacation rental with whomever you choose.
yes pretty much. I punched in some dates for February on Tripadvisor and saw a resorts units listed for over 1K, then I went to that resorts website and found an owners unit for $600. Whichever management company I chose I hope that I can also place ADs on Air BNB and such. I just feel that if it's a management company working for the complex they would rent their units out before an owners units, but I could be wrong.
