You might want to find the thread about shipping a scooter here, as I posted about the difference in riding here vs. the States. I don't know much about shipping, as I bought/built my bikes here, but Tropical shipping did a great job getting my boat here. Try them? (340) 776-8767

Read the older threads, buy the handbook (top of screen), bring as much cash as you can for a pre move visit (pmv).
Good luck.

Across from the Wendy's by Havensight, there is a scooter rental that has just started doing 250 enduros about 2 months ago. Called BIZ Scooter Rentals. They charge $75/day, or $65/day , if you do 2 days. A week is $260.

I fear you do not understand the concept of travel on the virgin islands. If I understand correctly the "motorcycle" you are inquiring about is a high speed road bike. (capable of speeds up to and over 100 miles per hour) There are few, if any, roads in the usvi that would allow you to go more than 45 miles per hour. Most have a 25 mph speed limit.

We do not encourage "off road use" because all of our land is limited and irreplaceable.
One of your answers referred to motor scooters. We do see some of them around and they might be a good way of getting around. If you are a brave soul.

Hope you can find what you want and also understand the reality of Virgin island living.

well ..thats why Im asking to get the info. I am a responsible rider. and dont have any intentions other than purely transport and pleasure ride , because I enjoy it ... the scooter to me seems like trouble waiting to happen ..I doubt a scooter could get me up any of those hills ..need a bit more power due to my size ., just curious about exploring ..due to ads I have seen advertising for jeep tours as well ..kinda like an off highway tour ,as it was implied , just trying to make some educated decisions ,,
Thank you for the advice,
Sean

I also have jeep wrangler just afraid shipping it would cost way too much from colorado even if I drove it to fla first

There are no restictions that I know of . And there is no place to purchase any bikes here....unless you count the paper! Haha! Biz Scooter Rentals (that also rents enduros) might sell you one of theirs, not sure.
