I am noticing rents seem to be cheaper in Fredericksted vs rents in Christiansted. What is the reason for that. Is it further away from things, the neighborhood?

Wish I could edit the title. I realize I spelled Christiansted wrong.

Not a surprise. F'sted being on the west end is certainly further from most things than C'sted. Has less shopping, offices, etc. C'sted is more central as well as bigger town having more stuff in it.

If you live west and work east, you have to drive with the sun in your eyes both ways.

I think I'll go to abbreviating the city names 😉 Probably will get that wrong too.

Vicanuck- I live on a small little peninsula on the west coast of Florida. I live on the West side of it and work on the East. I'll try to remember to avoid that on the island. It is kind of annoying when I can't see the color of the stop light.

That WOULD be a long commute. But it's about ten minutes. We stick out into Tampa Bay 🙂

Commuting on St. Croix is not the same as the harrowing adventure of driving in Pinellas County during rush hour.

St. Croix has some stop lights but not the be-zillion found in Pinellas.

indian rocks beach had very little traffic, but once you cross the causeway way to much traffic.
