Good Day all,
Hello future neighbors and friends. My name is Danielle (aka Sunnie) . I am posting just for general inquires. I spent a month in the VI this past year to see if i was ready to take to take the plung. Came home and have decided Yep its time ! I have done loads of research , I will be looking for a roomie .I am open to moving to St John or St Thomas close to one of the cities . I am 30 and have worked in the service industry for 15 yrs( yep i know My mom insisted i work as soon as i can ) I have lived in dallas for the past 6 yrs and worked in the same bar for 21/2 yrs and it is more like family. I am extremely loyal and hard working . So hit me up if you have any friend or yourself is looking for a roommate beginning of march. Also any tips on places for rent (long term cause I plan on staying). I have experience in more than service so I will be looking for anything at this point and those pointers also appreciated.I look forward to the future Cheers everyone!!!Will keep up with all who Helps;)

I assume that you have done the math and you can weather out the financil start up storm. Coming in March is at the tail end of the prime season. But there are still places that are looking for help. But most you will need to apply inn person. You will also need a health card to work here in the serving industry. As far as transportation is concerned you sound like you are not going to get a car. So you will need to close to the safari bus route which runs from tutu to red hook and back to tutu. There are public buses but they have very spotty service, I would begin to look at the trader for a place to stay.
as far as apartments are concerned we generally do not rent to new people on the island that do not have a contract. But some do.

Thanx for the info and I am happy to report that I have done all my research. Health card , postbox , safari buses, cost of living , mannerisms and contacts. I made it a point to spend a month in the VI Sept-Oct completely alone so that I would plung myself without distractions. Not your typical vacation, it was mainly to get a good review of the challenges I will be conquering on this journey .I was also very fortunate to meet some very helpful and amazing locals that have also been very considerate in helping me down this path. I made friends on both STJ and STT , so im keeping my options flexible. Posting just seemed another good way to get more helpful direction. I appreciate your help Thanx 🙂
