*Hello everyone,
We are planning to moving to St. Croix soon. We have put much thought into this and have made a decision. We would like to move by Jan 2005. We are looking for a small apartment or studio to rent, until we find the property we would like to buy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to our island. I hope your experience here is as good as my wife and I have had. As far as finding an apartment, it's difficult to do until you are here. Most folks who move here stay in short term rental (aka hotel) until they find something more permenant. I strongly recommend you do not buy until you have lived here for six months to a year. It really takes that long to get to know the island. Stay in touch with this board. There are many nice (relatively new) Crusians here. They will all try to be helpful. Hello Anna,
Have you ordered the Settlers Handbook and other reading material about the Virgin Islands to familiarize and plan. You can find those books at the top of this page. Also think of all the questions you have and ask.... thats the best way to get opinions, tips, suggestions!!
