Hi, I am looking into relocating to the Islands, and would like to some information on what expect and issues about the islands. I am currently in the autoparts business, but I want to finish school.

You might read through the what to expect stories that are on this site to see what other folks who moved here had to say. Depending on the island you want to move to you can stay in autoparts and try and get work at Western Auto, Midas or at one of the car delerships warranty/parts areas... If you want to finish school here there is a university on St. Thomas and a campus on St. Croix too. Your best bet is to read through the sections of this site on cost of living, apartments, employment, infrastructure and then ask all the questions you think of as you look through the information. You will get much more feedback with specific questions then with a general question like what you have asked. So make a list of all your specific concerns and ask away! You may want to get the Settlers Handbook, the book shown at the top of this page to help you with more information on moving and living here.

There's a vocational school on St. Croix that teaches autoparts as well.
