Hello all:
My husband and I have been presented the opportunity to relocate to ST Thomas and are feverishly doing our "homework" on the ins and outs of such a move. This site has been very helpful, but we have 3 small children and I am desperately seeking any and all information on the pros and cons of life on the island with small children. My oldest is school age, which brings up the subject of the school system on the island. Any information that can be shared with me on bringing kids to the island and the school system would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks so much!!!

Wow! That takes me back a year and a half ago... When you have the time, read thru the moving stories, mine was #13. And then do some searches on schools - there will be a lot to read thru. I spent some major time just reading before moving to STT. I am not trying to put you off. I think you will really find a lot of info and come back with some more specific questions. You can not do enough research before moving here with kids. If you still have the same questions, write some more info about yourself so we can hopefully be of some help. Feel free to pm me if you have questions about my moving here or just post. I have only been reading the posts like once a week, but hopefully many others will post replies for you. I have three kids too, so you know how much spare time I have. 🙂

What's so funny is that I printed out about 10 of the moving stories that I felt had really good information and yours was #1! ( must have been the three kid part!). I was hoping to find you so that I'd have a recent "translplant" with kids to ask questions of! I am trying to do as much research as possible so that I can ask the right questions, but it is overwhelming to say the least. Unfortunately, you're the first reply I've gotten to my post! I'll PM you with more specific questions, and please do the same for me if you have pertinent info to share! THANKS!!!!
