Relocating to St. Thomas...HELP! Where do I begin???
Awesome - thank you!
That is what I thought....
Hi Baileywags -- one little piece of advice -- even though the term 'natives' is used often in the states (native Detroiter, Kentucky native, native to the Valley, etc.) it causes offense and ruffles feathers here. Better to use the term 'locals' or 'long-time residents' or something else. Good luck on your PMV.
Calling some people local can be problematic.
And, no matter where you live, you will be living in residential areas that may be mixed with residents and tourists. Visitors now rent vacation condos and homes, and shop at the same grocery stores we residents use.
I find it amusing when visitors say they want to go where the locals go. Um, most of us go to work or run a business. Do you really want to go to work with someone when you're on vacation?
A few islands have people to people programs but not VI. I think our tourism product could benefit from such a program.
it is nice to see you with a positive attitude most of the time AandA.
Lol did that post come of snarky? I was a bit pissy that day after a day of diving in hull bay to clean out all the trash underwater. Soooo much out by the sand spot. All beer bottles/cans and plastic cups from the hideaway. 30 min surface swim toting 40lbs of garbage makes me pissy.
no not at all, i was actually being serious lol. i know its hard to tell on line but i really meant that as a compliment
(tu) 🙂
