REGISTERING A RH DRIVE VEHICLE
I can check with DMV during the week but has anyone had any experience registering a RH drive vehicle here? I had a friend several years back who drove a duly registered former USPS mail delivery truck which was RH drive but does anyone have any recent knowledge? Thanks.
In case anybody didn't figure it out: RH = Right Hand, meaning the steering wheel is on the right.
Why would it be any different than registering a LH drive, if previously registered here? (and legally here)
When I moved here a few years ago I almost shipped a RH Jeep down. Ended up straying away from the deal in part because I was afraid I would have shipping, registration, etc...issues. When I registered my vehicle I spoke with the folks at BMV about it (mostly with the inspector...who has been working there for years). He said its no problem at all, and nothing different in the process. We have a few RH vehicles here on STX.

Thanks for that info which was pretty much what I assumed. This is a similar situation where someone is contemplating shipping a RH drive vehicle. I'll double check with DVM to be sure. Thanks again!
I don't see why there would be a problem, because right side steering wheels are perfect for left lane road driving. We all should be driving right side steering wheels in the Virgin Islands. It would be a lot safer.
Personally, I love driving on the left hand side where on can see how close to the edge of the road you are.
There are at leadt 10 cars here with it. I see no reason to worry at all.
