This is also posted in the "General" forum, but I know that this one is more widely read, so...
My kids have asked me about whether or not they'll be able to play rec league sports on the island. Is there anything like that on STX? My son has played soccer since kindergarten, and my daughter is interested in cheerleading and gymnastics. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

We do have soccer on STX (AYSO I believe) in addition to baseball and to my recent surprise I learned there's some sort of football team or teams (not sure if they play on island or other teams from other local islands.) Of course there's other things here also like swim team (they compete across the region) which has a big following, sail team (there's a great summer youth sailing school), etc.

That's awesome! Thanks so much GoodToGo and Bombi! My son was very disappointed to learn that he may have to wait until middle school at Country Day before being able to play his favorite sport. I'll pass along the good news right now -- I'm sure it will make his day! 🙂
