Almost forgot, last month I read The Lincoln Lawyer in one day, picked it up right around lunch time and couldn't put it down, it was that good!

They just released a movie about that book a couple of months ago by the same name, it starred Matthew McCouaghnay (sp).

Also, Brass Verdict by Michael Connley (sp) is a good read, he is the same guy that wrote The Lincol Lawyer.

I love Perri O'Shaugnessey. It is actually two sisters who write the series about Nina Reilly, a Lake tahoe attorney. I have read them all. A new one comes out in July. If you like mystery with insight into the legal system, this is a great series.

My daughter just finished "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien, and I started it yesterday.

I've never seen her so eager and interested to talk about a book.

It was assigned reading at her school and is collection of intertwining stories about soldiers and their lives. Was a Pulitzer finalist.

So far, very good.

i just finished "at home: a short history of private life" by bill bryson

Anita, I have only read one Bill Bryson book... it was a fantastic humor/travel book about Australia called "In a Sunburned Country." I HAVE to get more of his books! 🙂

Currently reading Wicked Prey by John Sanford.

Read 1 or 2 of his other "Prey" books and liked them.

Talking about new reads is always fun, especially when life’s changes, like moving, make it hard to settle into a good book. I’ve often struggled to capture my thoughts about a great read until I found a way to structure my ideas more clearly. A while back, I turned to 24 essay for a bit of help, and it really allowed me to share my reflections on books in a natural, heartfelt way. It’s cool when a little extra support can make your reading discussions that much richer.
