re travelling with animals(good news)
hey all i'm back , and is ready to proceed with my move to stx, i'll be fully moved by july 25th any way if there is anybody out there travelling with animals ,spirit airline is taking animals without any problems . and it is very inexpensive $75.00 per dog but my dogs are weighing less than 15 lbs each anyway.the unfortunate thing is they only fly to st thomas , so i think that's gonna be a problem for us if the boats or sea plane will not transport them over . DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF A WAY I CAN BRING MY CRITTERS SAFELY OVER?. you guys have been very helpfull so far thanks to you all . i hope you guys will have other forum meeting when i get there obviously i'm missing theese.
Go to seaborne airlines web page - under FAQ it has all the details re pets. They will transport small pets in crates in cabin for 25 bucks each - book ahead.
I've also heard that you can bring small pets across on the passenger ferry if they are in their crates.
thank you , thank you , they are gonna be in crates their actual weight is 13 lbs each. you guys are the best, thanks again.
this is really good to know. where can you get the passenger ferry? How long does it take? thanks
timcollins, those are legit questions i hope someone will answer before this weekend when we are expected to travel.thanks.
Just search this website and you can find the ferry schedules, rates, location etc for yourself.
hi Barbie
The ferry from STT to STX departs Fridaya, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at 9:45 am and also at 6:45 pm. Trip is about 1.5 hrs and cost is $90 RT and I think $50 one way. Call Smith's Ferry at 340.775.7292 for more details and to confirm the info I gave you. Ferry service has been dependable lately but things can change down here, you never know, so call first. Best of luck to you!!!!
