I see alot of people come to the beach with a gallon milk jug....what is that about?
Filled with milk? The only thing I can come up with off the top of my head is that it's pretty common to freeze a gallon jug of water to take to the beach. It melts slowly enough that you have cold drinking water to hand without the need of hauling a cooler.
Using sea water to rinse off before getting into the car. Some folks take it home to use it for a seabath later.
I take a couple empty gallons to rinse off the sand. I fill them up with sea water because I only use it for my feet before I get in my car.
I know others who bring fresh water to rinse off with.
Edit:spelling mistakes
My friends and I fill them with fresh water to rinse off the salt water.
What's the benefit to a sea bath? It's salty water why would u take it home after you just swam in it
My friends and I say we are going for a "sea bath" - going to the beach, because we usually have sore muscles, arthritis is acting up, and just to relax in the 'warm' salty sea water. We don't go when the water is cold.
I have never brought any sea water home to use for a sea bath.
I guess it pretty much has almost the same benefits as Epsom salts that you buy at the drug store.
Anybody know more about it??
The gallon jug is for rinsing the salt off with fresh water, you can rinse the sand off with sea water - a sea bath is taken in the ocean in its' countless gallons of water , beneficial maybe more in tale than reality but there is no doubt swimming and exercising in the ocean is good for you!
