Wow, I can't remember a dispute in which I felt so entirely devoid of any sympathy for either party. It's a clash of the grifters.

WAPA has been screwing Cohen over for years and getting away with it. By their own admission, WAPA has been "estimating" the usage at the transmitter sites because, as WAPA stated, "the road is too bumpy". This has been going on for years.

The proof of this was when WAPA themselves cut off the current to the transmitters months ago yet Cohen continues to receive monthly bills indicating that he has been using WAPA power when clearly he was on generator power. BUSTED!

There is much more to this story that what WAPA is saying and its time to bring them before the PSC to explain their deception. How many other Virgin Islanders have been f#&ked by WAPA? We all know someone who has.

I hope Cohen wins this one...and I think he will. Lets stand with him on this.

Cohen openly admits in The Avis article that he has an outstanding balance. However, due to WAPA's malfeasance, he cannot accurately assess what his true obligation really is.

He has done the right thing by blowing the whistle and getting the PSC involved.

If everyone who gets screwed by WAPA did that, the PSC would be overwhelmed with complaints.

This is the same Jonathan Cohen that evaded taxes for years; almost a million dollars. He was able to plead guilty to lesser charges and given probation. Now he wants the community's sympathy for his WAPA bill.

Good riddance! His stations can remain silent.
