Questions about freight companies

I've read here about companies like Paradise Freight and others. Will they deliver boxes with grocery items (non-perishable of course), or pet food, or are those items not allowed to be shipped here?

And can anyone give me an idea of the cost of shipping via such companies? Obviously the cost would vary based on size and weight, but if anyone has examples of boxes they've shipped and the cost, I'd appreciate it.

They will pretty much ship anything that you have shipped to their FL location.  Hazardous materials would likely be the exception.  Even for those they may be allowed depending on the material and hazard.  Items that are illegal to ship in would be prohibited I'm sure.  Everything shipped has to be declared for customs and has applicable duty applied to it.  So descriptions/receipts/origin of items are needed.  Cost is quite reasonable but I don't have a lot of details.  I shipped a new dishwasher last year for $93 including duty.

I ship dog food and a myriad of other items through Paradise Freight weekly. They do open your packages to ensure you're not shipping drugs or guns, but, I've never had anything rejected. Its difficult to determine what something will cost because it depends on how its packed and you probably don't know that until it arrives. I will say that Amazon is the worst for using vastly oversized cartons for small things.
