Question about socialization and dating scene
The "you don't break up thing, but lose your turn" is RIGHT. Ive got all single friends and whoa, I can barely keep up with who's with who. This should go without saying but ALWAYS wear a condom. I also hear the single's horror stories and sob stories along with their RX lists. Gross, and SO glad I'm a taken lady LOL.
A&A, good point, here is a link to an older story, but it's still relevant STD's in USVI Considering that these statistics are only for the people who get tested, you can probably safely assume that the numbers are actually quite a bit higher.
Eeekkk! That's scary!

Astronomically so. There have been countless numbers of deaths from AIDS here which are not acknowledged and/or disavowed by families who view it as a sin and a degradation to even consider it as the cause of death. The only time I've ever seen a death from AIDS publicly acknowledged over the years is in a mere scant handful of obituaries where the decedent was a member of the open gay community. Along with that, many people who've contracted full blown AIDS leave island and become a stateside statistic. So much of the local community still believes that using a condom is "unmanly" and that having loads of children by different women is a badge of honor.
i do not think, if i were to suddenly become single, i would ever "date" down here
Posted by: @dougtamjjThere are many wonderful single 20 and 30 year old people in the USVI. I think the replies you are getting are excluding the majority of the population which is mostly West Indian and Hispanic.
I think there are lonely people everywhere, regardless of country or region
