Question about class "A" CDL from states & motorcyle endorsement
Our 1st question is - Does a stateside class "A" CDL [license] transfer automatically to a VI class "A" CDL [commercial driver's license]? 2nd question - Do you have to have a special license to drive a motorcycle? If your current stateside DL has motorcycle endorsement, does it transfer?

You need new licenses here no matter the classification. Has to be done within 3 months.

I thought that if you have a mainland DL (no matter the class or endorsements) that you'll only have to take the written test for those endorsements, not the road test, when you move (within 90 days). That's so you can learn the different road signs and general rules of driving on the left. That's how it was when I moved to England (visiting foriegn military license).
To everybody worried about learning to drive on the left - don't be! I actually found it MUCH easier to learn to drive on the left than it is to re-adapt to driving on the right when you come back to visit family. Just pay attention at intersections and parking lots where the lanes aren't properly marked and you'll be fine.
Yes, only the written test unless you go past the 3 months or your old license expires.
