Public Housing
Hello, Ive been reading this site off and on for a few years now...Ive Always wanted to live in St Croix VI... Seems Like its Just my place to be... Now.. Here is for my Odd Question... I have a Family Member who lives in public housing and has put in for a transfer to St Croix VI Public Housing..I didnt know you could do that... I guess in an Attempt to Follow me...who knows why...people are like that sometimes sigh*...Anyways if for some reason She should actually get the transfer....which one would you Live in ? Or Choose...if you had a Choice ? I Myself Have to Sell My house first in Order to Move & do More Research...Im A bit of a Skeptic..Crime i guess...? I did order the books off this site...hope they arrive here shortly...
I'd think it would be highly doubtful she'd get a transfer to public housing here.
There is a LONG wait list for public housing here, so a transfer request from someone outside the VI will end up buried in a file cabinet.
I didn't realize they do transfer from the states, but if can transfer other things I guess why not housing also. Some communities have long waiting list others don't. Some you can apply today and if you have the security deposit you could move in tomorrow, some you will wait as long as 6 months to a year. It just depends on the size of the community I guess.
greets
you can transfer a public housing contract or section 8 certificate anywhere in the continental us, hawaii, alaska, and any us territory.
now as to whether there is housing opportunity is another story altogether....that is first come first serve.
bless
