Proving physical address

Your lease, rental agreement or deed, if you own property, should state physical address as should your drivers license.

Do you rent or own? Your lease is often an accepted document. Your utility bills should show where the service is provided, because those services are not provided at your post office box! Cable? Dish?

If you can get mail delivery at your location, any mail addressed to you is also usually acceptable.

I can't remember what I used years ago, because nothing is in my name, but I had to prove address for voter registration card, and I use that whenever I have to provide proof of local address.

They make it difficult to RENEW a driver's license here and yet illegals can get them in California. I guess as long as they prove they watch cable TV, eh? LOL

My son has nothing in his name. He was only asked to provide proof of identity to get a voter registration card, and the address on the card was used as proof of address (one of them) to get a drivers license renewed.

From the Board of Elections website:

What documents are required for registration?
Birth Certificate or
Passport (United States) or
Military Discharge form (DD214) and a
Naturalization Certificate

Try the cell phone bill trick I mentioned in STXBob's thread. It could be done with a credit card statement as well. Works great for those of us with few bills who don't get paper copies of anything!
