BIG burst of light near C'Sted then lots of the big island lost power. Anybody know what's up? (I ask because the generator we biught in October still isn't hooked-up.) pretty soon, I'll ID the neglegent electrician if he doesn't finish the job.). Just sayin'.

Power out in barren spot. Called wapa and they said they don't know when it will be back on. If anyone knows what is going on please share!!

Don't know what happened to cause the outage, but In Cane Bay power went off @ 7:45pm Mon, but came back on @9pm.

I have to say I was unhappy the power went off but I was pleasantly shocked by WAPA's response to my trouble report. Inwent to their website about 45 minutes into the outage and reported it. I got a phone call and an email from WAPA asking if everything was OK. I'm starting to like it here (that's a lie--I've always liked it here.)

Reporting outages online is pretty good on Wapa, both times I've done it so far I've gotten an email back with information about the outage. Now if we could just cut back on the number of outages!
Power went out at around 6:45am for about 30 minutes this morning in Tulipan Welcome and also at 11:15 until 1:15pm or so this afternoon. There is a brush fire going on on the otherside of Mount Welcome, that may have had something to do with it.
